Former Australia cricketer Dean Jones praised former India captain MS Dhoni's captaincy – who will be seen leading Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League. Jones said that Dhoni will always stay in his list of top five Indian players because of his brilliance over the years.
MS Dhoni, who has announced his retirement from international cricket last month with a social media post – had attended a camp in Chennai for a pre-IPL training camp as well.
"MS Dhoni is captain cool. He doesn't sweat but he hasn't played cricket for 14 months. He has had a camp back in Chennai. He is teaching some of the young guys back in quarantine some discipline because there is a lot of discipline in his game," Dean Jones revealed in the latest episode of Star Sports' chat show Cricket Connected.
MS Dhoni has been eyeing to do well in the IPL 2020 and has been practising well too. And, after Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh has pulled out their names from the league, the pressure will be on the CSK captain MS Dhoni who is gearing up to win their 4th title as well.
"And as a captain, he is quite conservative in his tactics. But he waits for you to make a mistake and then the cobra goes for the squeeze. People will always remember what he has done. He will be in my top five Indian players of all time," Jones shared.
Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians on the first match of the IPL 2020 in Abu Dhabi. The 53-day tournament will end on November 10.
